Annual Day_11.01.2020

                             11th January 2020 was celebrated as 18th  Annual day celebration of our School. The programme was presided by The Chief Guest Thiru. G. Kumaresan, B.E., M.B.A., Executive Engineer, Trichirapalli  City Coporation.           The chairman Mr. L. Devadass Samuel and  Correspondent   Mrs. Pakia Jothi Devadas, the board members Dr. Mathavan Rajkumar, Mrs. Rosemary Matthew, Mrs. Jeba Selwyn, Miss. Sharon Persis Devadass, Principals of both Carmel’s matriculation Hr. Sec. School and English School were also part of the celebration. The Programme Commenced with a Prayer and followed by a Prayer Song. The Welcome Address was given by                Mr. D.  Premkumar, Principal of Carmel’s Matriculation Hr. Sec. School and the Introduction of the Programme was done by Mr.T. Suresh Rajh, Principal of Carmel’s English School. Followed by honoring the guests took place. The guests were honored by the Chairman Mr.L. Devadass Samuel and Correspondent   Mrs. Pakia Jothi Devadas. Later the students were honoured by the Chief Guest and by the special guest for Proficiency and for Full attendance. The Chief guest was introduced by the Correspondent Mrs. Pakia Jothi Devadas. The Chief guest addressed the gathering, with a lot of appreciation.

The celebration started with a Welcome Dance by the students. We also had variety of dances like Aladdin dance, Mona dance, Lego dance, Pirate Dance,   and much more. The most highlighting part of the programme was the U V dance and the Fusion Dance; it was really a feast to our eyes. The students also performed The English Musical Drama and Tamil Drama.

Later the STD XII students were felicitated by the board member Mrs. Rose Mary with a word of Prayer. The Vote of thanks was delivered by the Assistant School Pupil leader S. Siva Shankari of STD XI. And the programme ended with the National Anthem. Over all it was a wonderful and colourful performance by the students.


Carmello’19 – 2 days Inter school competition for Sports & games and Fine Arts held in our School campus on November 8th & 9th. On the whole 50 schools and 2000 students from L.K.G to Std. 6 participated. 230 (Medals & Trophies) prizes distributed in Carmello’19. Entrepreneur Mr. Jeya Karna, Managing Director of Oxino groups, inaugurated the events and Mr. Subramaniyan, Editor, Cauvery Times, distributed the prizes on the valediction ceremony. Sri Akilandeshwari Vidyalaya, Srirengam, Trichy, bagged over all trophy with 143 points. The School management, Correspondent, Principals, Staff and Students initiated the competition.

Science Exhibition – 12.10.19

Science Exhibition conducted in our group of schools. All the students participated and exhibited their models under 17 topics.


Parents were witnessed the exhibition.

Student’s Empowerment Camp – 2019

Carmel’s Group of Schools conducted 4th SEC at Poondi Retreat Centre, Poondi Basilica. Students from std-IX to XII participated in the 2 days camp and they learnt about Positive Attitudes, Self-Motivation, Time Management, Stress Management, Leadership, Strategic Thinking, Team Building, Teens Distractions, Goal setting and Self-Esteem. Resource persons Dr. Jim Jesudoss, Director, Vidiyal-Sakthi, Madurai and Mr. Charles Money, Trainer, Chennai shared their stuffs to nurture the students. Also students learnt a lot through Movies, Short films and Team games. Staff and students of Carmel’s Group of Schools thanked the School management for the wonderful arrangement.

Sports Day_20.07.2019


      Carmel’s Group of Schools celebrated its 18th Annual Sports Meet on 20th July 2019. A great interest was observed among the students, teachers and parents. The programme started with the lovely rendition by the choir to pay salutations to the Lord Almighty. The Chief Guest for the day,  Mrs. N.S. Nisha I.P.S., Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law & Order, Trichy, declared the Sports Meet open. Principal of Carmel’s English School Mrs. Jeannette Rozario welcomed the gathering. Our school sports day began with the March Past. It was led by the School pupil leader Mohammed Ibrahim of std XII, Assistant School pupil leaders S. Sivashankari of Std – XI and A. Bettina Santhya of  Std IX, Sports Secretary Senthil Murugan of Std IX and Assistant Sports Secretary Mathesyuvan of Std. IX. To enliven the sports event the Olympic torch was lit by the Chief Guest. Our energetic and dynamic students  performed various events which included KG drills and main drills with the theme “Aim high to the sky”.  This was followed by vibrating speech by the Chief Guest. Students  danced for the Patriotic “Desam” song. Finally overall prizes were announced by the Correspondent of Carmel’s Group of Schools Mrs. Pakia Jothi Devadass. The most prestigious overall trophy was won by the Zinnia group followed by the Tulips. The trophy for March Past was won by the Daffodils  and Bluebells for the Group drill. Winners of the sports events were awarded. The Assistant school pupil leaders S.Sivashankari of XI and A. Bettina Sandhya of std IX  proposed the Vote of Thanks.

Investiture Ceremony_28.06.19

              Carmel’s group of school’s Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2019-2020 was celebrated on  28 th June 2019, in the school premises. The programme began with a prayer song, Bible verse and followed by the prayer done by Mrs. Jeannette Rozario, ICSE Principal. The welcome address was given by the Assistant school pupil leader Ms. Shivashankari of Std XI and continued by the Flag hoisting by the Chief guest Dr.Jeromiah. The Introduction of the Chief guest done of the Correspondent Mrs.Pakiya Jothi Devadass, followed by the honoring of the Chief guest was done by the chairman Mr. L. Devadass Samuel.

Later the speech about the Leadership was given by the school SPL Mohammed  Ibrahim of Std XII. Dedication of the school Council and group captains was done by the Chief guest, followed by the Oath taking done by the new leader. The Chief guest Dr.Jeromiah, addressed the gathering by stating the importance of the leadership, and qualities to be possessed by them, he must know; show and go as per the need of the goal, he also wished them to perform their duty to the fullest extent. Later the vote of thanks delivered by the ICSE Asst. SPL Bettina Sandhiya. The Programme ended with the National Anthem, and the new leader planted the saplings in the School premises.

Day of Beauty_22.06.19

“Day of Beauty” celebrated in Carmel’s Group of Schools on 22.06.19. All the classrooms were decorated based on the theme and all the students participated in the event. Students came forward with their own ideas and involved in all kinds of activities like depicting Skit, Mime, Poem recitation, Singing songs, Speech, Art & Craft and so on. “Day of Beauty” laid platform for students’ Creativity, Innovation, Cognitive development, Team work and Communicative skill.

Three judges visited all the classrooms from Mont 1 – IX and awarded marks based on the class performance.

Eco Club inaugurated on 10.06.19

ECO club was inaugurated on 10.06.19, Monday in our school campus at 3.15 p.m

Club members – staff and students – were introduced to the students.

Ms. Jenitta read the activities planned for the year.

This was followed by a talk by our Correspondent on making a terrace garden at home.

Saplings and seeds were presented by the students

Correspondent, Principals planted the sapling.

The rest of the saplings and seeds will be planted in the school garden.

Students sand the song ” The Earth is my home, I promise to keep it healthy and beautiful.

The programme ended with the Vote of thanks by Mrs. Alphonse followed by the National Anthem.


Sports club Inaugurated on 07.06.19

Winning is not everything, but making the effort to win is.

As a part of the curriculum, “Carmel’s Sports club”  was successfully inaugurated on 07.06.19 by our Honourable Chairman Mr. L. Devadass Samuel. The guests were honoured by the President of the club, Mr.Sampath. The club members were introduced by the Secretary, Mr. Charles. The Chief guest addressed the gathering and motivated the students to participate enthusiastically in club activities. Our Correspondent emphasizes the importance of sports and particularly empowers the girls to participate in games.


Don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits.

As a sports club, it has the responsibility to develop the self-discipline and sportsmanship in students.

  • Make the students to excel in sports
  • Motivates the students to take part in the games actively
  • Develop the positive attitude and sportsmanship


The motto of the club is “Discipline through Sports”


The club plans the following activities:

  • Classes from 1 – 12 has been divided into three categories.
  • Each category will be assigned a game for a month.
  • For the first two weeks, they will be introduced to the rules & regulations of the game.
  • Next two weeks they will be given practice.
  • This process will be followed in a cyclic order separately for boys and girls.
  • At the end of each month, a sports meet will be conducted to give the students a platform to exhibit their talents.
